Some Swansea City fans have reacted positively to the return to fitness of French midfielder Aldo Kalulu.

The 23-year-old joined the Liberty Stadium-based club from Swiss side Basel this past summer on an initial loan deal with the option to buy at the end of the season. He joined the side after the departures of Daniel James and Ollie McBurnie.

The winger has made two appearances this season. Both of them came early in the campaign against Derby County and Preston North End. But, he sustained an ankle injury in the game against the Rams and hasn’t featured since.

But Swansea posted a photo of Kalulu returning to training and one fan admitted they had forgotten about the Frenchman.

Before joining the Welsh club, Kalulu was at Basel last season. He made 26 appearances in all competitions for the Swiss club, scoring and assisting just one time each.

Some Swans fans are buzzing to see the summer signing back. They expressed their excitement about it.

Swansea are currently fourth in the Championship this season and the recent win over Cardiff was their first win in four games. It was also their second win in the last nine games in the league.

Steve Cooper’s men started off their campaign in fine fashion. They were unbeaten in the first six games, winning five of those and drawing one.

What do we think?

Kalulu seemed like an important part of the side when the season began. His return adds much-needed depth to the wide areas and the fact that he can play up front makes it even better. It takes some burden off the likes of Andre Ayew, Wayne Routledge and Bersant Celina.
