After fans watched their team drop out of the Football League Cup to Oxford United on penalties this week, one fan account posted their player ratings for the match. The ratings hardly flattered the players’ performances, however many fans believed them too be generous none the less.
It’s always good to have a positive outlook on your team’s performance, however these Sunderland fans have had enough. While one fan calls the ratings generous, another suggests they are all over the shop.
All over the shop these ratings like

Some fans questioned what Will Grigg did to receive a 6/10 performance, especially after he missed a penalty during the shootout. Even former Sunderland player Steven Elliot had a go at Grigg’s performance.
You are honestly giving Griggs more than 09. C Mclaughlin was on walkabout most of the game man.

Grigg looks as if he’s in a real unhappy place on pitch. I’d try offload him & get another in for sake of both player and club in Jan. Looks more like 300K FWD rather than 3-4 mill one. Shame as he has ability but just wrong fit. Would have to take a big loss on him though #safc

But despite this, poor old Charlie was still very supportive of his team, even if he was the only one.
Yea, very much just you

What do we think?
While fans may not completely agree with the player ratings, they all agree that the performance wasn’t good enough. Well, everyone aside from Charlie that is. The players will be looking to regain the trust of the fans as they host Southend United on the weekend.
