Whilst Liverpool and Napoli are the cream of the crop of their Champions League group and will be the two teams expected to go through to the knockout stages of the tournament, RB Salzburg are certainly leaving their mark on the group, and one man in their ranks has caught the eye of these Liverpool fans.
The man in question is Takumi Minamino, the 24-year-old Japanese international who scored and assisted at Anfield as Salzburg fell to a narrow 4-3 defeat at the hands of the European Champions.
His performance certainly raised eyebrows, though, as he now has three assists and a goal in his first two appearances in the Champions League proper, as per Transfermarkt.
Have just watched 10 minutes of Takumi Minamino on YouTube and after what he did at Anfield, am almost fully convinced he’s better than Messi https://t.co/AYtD6qbJEA

Erling Braut Haaland is one of the most recognisable names from the RB Salzburg team given the recent media attention he’s received for his goalscoring, and The Daily Star claim Man United and Real Madrid will be warring over his signature in January.
However, it’s Minamino who Reds fans are focusing on, and they obviously rate his talents after his first two Champions League games, especially his Anfield display.
He was probably the best player on the pitch that game.. movement was very good. Needs to move to a better league tho to progress and be a world class player

He is a really good player. Like most Salzburg breakthroughs he will get exposure at Leipzig. Top talent

Some Liverpool fans even went the step further and would like to see him plying his trade at Anfield more regularly. It seems that the 24-year-old left a real impression on the Reds and now a lot of them want to see Jurgen Klopp make a move for the impressive Japanese international.
Im really hoping he plays for liverpool next season so that we’ll have firminominamino as our forwards!
