Manchester United fans have certainly not had the best time in the Premier League so far this season.
Despite putting four goals past Chelsea on the Premier League’s opening day, the Red Devils have only scored five goals in seven games in the competition since, and now face a rampant Liverpool – who are yet to drop a point in the league so far – this weekend.
It’s obviously made a lot worse by the fact that Sky Sports have given us the verdict that neither David De Gea nor Paul Pogba, two of the club’s most valuable players by their Transfermarkt valuations, will be fit for the clash.
The same report from Sky claimed that Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka aren’t guaranteed to make it either, despite pushing for returns.

Most of the fans are nervous for the visit of Liverpool, and it’s not surprising as to why given the two sides’ differing form. However, United have got the better record over the years in the fixture, winning 88 of the previous 230 meetings between the sides, losing just twice in their last 12 meetings, as per 11vs11, but even this isn’t enough to calm the United fans’ nerves.

We lost to Palace at home, scraped past Leicester. Liverpool are a different kettle of fish. This game is ending only one way.

Despite the fans above, who have little to no faith in getting anything against the visiting Liverpool side, there does appear to be a few plucky Manchester United supporters who have a slither of hope of getting a result. The last time Liverpool won at Old Trafford was way back in March 2014, over five years ago, so having a little bit of faith like the fans below surely isn’t too out there?
