After having arrived at the club in the summer transfer window from Manchester City for a reported £15m fee, Brazilian midfielder Douglas Luiz has been lighting up the Premier League with a number of terrific long-range strikes in Aston Villa’s return to the top-flight after a three-year absence.
After scoring a long-range strike against AFC Bournemouth at Villa Park, Luiz then struck in the club’s 5-1 victory over Norwich, curling a finessed effort from outside the box beyond the reach of the Canaries’ keeper Michael McGovern.
And now, after heading off on international duty with Brazil’s U23 side, Luiz has been at it again and some Villa fans are simply loving the form of their defensive midfielder who clearly has a long-range strike in his locker.

And whilst Luiz has been on international duty, prior to his strike in Brazil’s U23 game, Villa released a video comparing both of the 21-year-old’s Premier League strikes so far in the 2019/20 campaign, and some of the club’s fans are certainly singing the praises of their defensive midfielder.
