Fans of Wolverhampton Wanderers have taken to Twitter to discuss their contenders for the worst players to ever play for the Old Gold – with Yannick Sagbo a prominent choice.

After the question was posed to supporters on Twitter by @TalkingWolves, fans piled into the comments to list their picks to claim top spot.

With a number of honourable mentions being thrown into the mix, the general consensus was 31-year-old, Sagbo.

The Ivorian striker made only four appearances for the Old Gold during the 2014/15 Championship season, joining the club from Hull City on an emergency loan for three months.

However, after a string of substitute appearances, the 31-year-old fell out of contention with Kenny Jacket and Sagbo was recalled by the Tigers just over a month into the loan move (per Express and Star).

Since his failed stint at Wolves and release by Hull, Sagbo moved to Qatar and has played for Umm Salal Sport Club since 2015 (via Transfermarkt) – but Wolves supporters had not forgotten their once loan man.

What do we think?

Supporters of every club in the land will have a long list of players in their head with failed moves to their clubs – which are, on occasion, sometimes more memorable than star performers.

However, Yannick Sagbo’s four-game stint at Molineux will certainly forever go down as one of those that just did not work out (per Express and Star).

Indeed, it’s a clear indication of how times have changed at the club, with players like Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota now leading the line at Molineux.
