After another disappointing result at home to Sheffield United, many West Ham United fans have shown their support to manager Manuel Pellegrini, rather than calling for the club to oust him.

Just before half-time, Robert Snodgrass got the Hammers’ noses in front thanks to an Andriy Yarmolenko assist. But the lead only lasted 25 minutes, with Lys Mousset equalising in the 69th minute.

Usually, after dropping points the manager can expect questioning from the fans, but that doesn’t appear to be the case, with the majority of the claret and blues fans coming out to support Pellegrini. The general consensus was that the Chilean manager just needs more time to build.

West Ham played a 4-1-4-1 formation on Saturday, but even with five midfielders, Sebastien Haller continues to lack service, with the Frenchman having just 29 touches all game, which is five less than Sheffield United goalkeeper Dean Henderson who had 34 touches [Whoscored].

What Do We Think?

With the 66-year-old winning the Premier League with Manchester City back in the 2013/14 season, Pellegrini isn’t exactly the worst manager to have in charge at the London Stadium as far as previous knowledge is concerned.

The Hammers are currently 10th on 13 points, one point above London rivals Tottenham Hotspur. Should the Irons be able to go on a two-game winning run, they could quickly move up the table and possibly into the top eight, so they aren’t exactly in the worst of positions right now.
