Some Spurs fans were left impressed as one of the Championship’s best talents continued to shine in a game live on Sky Sports on Monday night.

24-year-old Said Benrahma was the man to catch the eye, as he scored another goal in Brentford’s 3-1 win against QPR at Loftus Road. The Algerian winger confidently tucked away a second-half penalty to continue his recent stunning form.

The Brentford star was reportedly (as per TEAMtalk) away in the summer, with Premier League newcomers Aston Villa among the main clubs of interest, but a move never materialised. It was no surprise to see the winger miss out in early season games for Brentford after being so keen for a move to the Premier League but he has been superb since returning to the side, averaging a 7.13 rating so far this season.

The tricky winger has been praised for his excellent dribbling and passing ability and is starting to attract the attention of more Premier League clubs after another excellent display on Monday night. Spurs fans were, in particular, admiring the Algerian, with a post from @COYS_com splitting the opinions of Spurs fans on Twitter.

Thoughts from Spurs fans on a potential move for Benrahma can be seen in the tweets below.

These fans clearly feel that Benrahma would suit Pochettino’s side, but other fans were less easily convinced by the winger.

What do we think?

Benrahma’s recent performances have been nothing short of sensational and it’s no coincidence that when he plays well, Brentford win, with them coming out on top in all of their last three games. However, his hefty price tag may deter Pochettino from making a move for the Algerian despite his great form, with the Bees reportedly wanting £30 million for the winger. Spurs are quite well-stocked in the wing position, with the likes of Son, Moura and Lamela all available, so it may be a surprise to see Pochettino make an approach. It certainly doesn’t seem like it will be too long before we see Benrahama in the Premier League however, whether that be with Spurs, Brentford or another club.
