Some Norwich City fans are unhappy with the club’s tweet about choosing their Goal of the Month as they feel that the decision shouldn’t even be a question.

The Canaries have played three games so far this month, failing to win a single game. They have lost two games, drawing one against Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth side.

But Daniel Farke’s men scored only two goals too. One came in the 3-1 loss to Manchester United and the other came in their 5-1 hammering at the hands of Aston Villa at Carrow Road itself.

When the club tweeted out as who should win the ‘Goal of the Month’ award, Norwich fans were unhappy. They feel there should be only one winner.

The goal against United this past weekend was Hernandez’s first in the Premier League. It made him the first Cuban goalscorer in Premier League history. The second-half strike only proved to be a consolation, though.

In the Championship last season, the winger had scored eight times and had racked up a tally of ten assists too. This helped the Canaries finish top of the Championship and seal direct promotion to the Premier League.

Some Norwich fans also felt that on-loan Manchester City youngster Patrick Roberts should win the accolade.

Roberts joined Norwich this past summer. Last season, the 22-year-old spent a loan stint at Spanish side Girona.

He played only 19 games in the La Liga, failing to score or assist even once. He also couldn’t help the club survive relegation into the Segunda division.

What do we think?

From the angle of which goal meant more, the award should go to Hernandez. It set a record for a man who had never scored in the Premier League before. The fact that it came against Manchester United made it even better. However, with just two goals having been scored across the month, it is hardly surprising that fans didn’t take too well to the tweet from Norwich.
