Some Norwich City fans want Onel Hernandez to start for the club in their upcoming Premier League game against Brighton and Hove Albion.
The former Eintracht Braunschweig man scored for the Canaries in their 3-1 loss to Manchester United in the Premier League this past weekend. This made him the first Cuban player to score in Premier League history.
The loss to United saw goalkeeper Tim Krul make two penalty saves, but both Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial did end up scoring one goal each. Scott McTominay also scored a goal in the first half.
Norwich’s Twitter handle uploaded Hernandez’s goal and the club’s fans pleaded for the club to start the 26-year-old to start at the weekend.
It may have been a consolation goal but it was certainly a special moment for @OnelHernandez23! #ncfc pic.twitter.com/PPWBfW7SdH

Hernandez joined Norwich from Braunschweig in January 2018 and played a key role in their promotion to the Premier League this past summer.
In the Championship last season, the Cuban appeared 40 times. He scored eight times and racked up a tally of ten assists too.
In his first season at the club, Hernandez played 12 times for the Canaries from January 2018 onwards. He had failed to score even once but he did assist twice during that season.
Some Norwich fans hailed him and saw it as a chance to poke fun at United.
Gutted he’s been injured for ages. Easily our best attacking threat

Daniel Farke’s men have now failed to win a single game in their last five Premier League outings. The loss to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men was their fourth in the last five (Sky Sports).
The last time the men from Carrow Road won a game was back in September when they overcame Champions Manchester City by beating them 3-2 at home. Since beating Pep Guardiola’s side, Norwich have conceded 12 goals – five of them came in their home game against Aston Villa.
Their next game is a trip to the Amex Stadium, followed by a home game against Watford.
What do we think?
A five-game winless run demands for some freshening up. Hernandez adds a lot of pace to that attack and the impact he had against United told a lot about what he can do. Starting him against Brighton would add something new to Farke’s arsenal and that unpredictability could harm Graham Potter’s men.
