Chelsea fans have taken to Twitter to share their views on former Blues winger Eden Hazard after rumours (as per Daily Express) of a secret meeting between Hazard and Real Madrid have surfaced.
Chelsea author Mark Worrall tweeted his own opinions on the Belgian and his supposed secret meetings with Madrid before his summer transfer, claiming the club have “moved on” from Hazard.
This tweet was met with a lot of replies from Chelsea fans reiterating Worrall’s words.
Here’s a sample of Chelsea fans saying they do not miss the winger:
One of the greatest players in Chelsea history. But we were too dependent on him. Now we play as a team, and we’ve been awesome so far.

We’re a better team without him.

I am the only Chelsea fan who didn’t care about Hazard anyway. Good riddance to anyone who doesn’t want to play for us

Chelsea signed Hazard in 2012 from French side Lille for £31 million (per Transfermarkt). During his time at the West-London club, Hazard made 352 appearances, scored 110 goals and made 92 assists (per Transfermarkt), which contributed towards the Blues winning two Europa League trophies, two Premier League titles, the League Cup and the FA Cup. However, after much speculation, Hazard finally made his move to Real Madrid in the summer for a stunning £90 million (BBC Sport).
But, some Chelsea fans don’t see losing the winger as a big loss.
Pls let’s not talk about other club players. Hazard is history

For me he put childish dreams ahead of club. Feel free to disagree, grateful for the memories but he’s history to me

What do we think?
Hazard was a star player for Chelsea, which his stats more than prove. But, now that Chelsea are in hot form without him, it appears as if some Blues fans have forgotten about the former Stamford Bridge star. Another reason could be down to Christian Pulisic’s most recent display against Burnley, as the American could have been seen as a replacement for the Belgian. Although, Hazard’s wonderful time at Chelsea should never be forgotten.
