Andy Carroll left West Ham over the summer and made his return to boyhood club Newcastle United (BBC).

The target man did make plenty of memories during his days as a Hammer, though, scoring 34 goals in 142 games for the Irons in his seven years at the club (Transfermarkt).

One of those goals came as a winner against Chelsea and the official West Ham Twitter account have posted a video of that goal from the 2-1 win back in 2015 (BBC), with a lot of West Ham fans taking the comments to reminisce over the win and Carroll’s goal.

Whilst the Hammers have now got the £45m man Sebastien Haller (BBC) leading the line for them, a lot of supporters seem to have very fond memories of Carroll going off the tweets below, after seeing his winner against Chelsea all over again.

A couple of fans have also mentioned how sad it was that injuries toom their toll on the striker the way they did. The 30-year-old missed a whopping 151 games through injury during his time with the club, missing more games through injury than he actually played (Transfermarkt).

Towards the end of his time at the London club it was clear he was struggling, especially seeing as the last time he played back-to-back 90 minutes in the league for the Irons was in March/April 2017 (Transfermarkt).
