The goalkeeping situation at Tottenham is far from ideal, especially after their ropey start to the season. Hugo Lloris’ injury against Brighton has seen him ruled out until 2020 (BBC) and now Paulo Gazzaniga is the man between the sticks.
On Tuesday the Argentine stepped in for just the second time since Lloris’ blow and he picked up his first clean-sheet, impressing the fans on his way to it, despite having very little to do during the 5-0 win over Crvena Zvezda.

After the game, the Argentine international spoke to the media about both the win and the fans were quick to praise him in the comments. The next game for Gazzaniga and co. is a trip to Anfield where the 27-year-old will be expected to have a lot more to do, but the fans are certainly behind him going into that clash.
When he told Jan what to do…
Quality goalkeeper

Other fans were quick to look ahead after seeing their ‘keeper talking to the press. The supporters below want to see Gazzaniga build on Tuesday and continue to impress during his stint as the club’s starting gloveman.
Massive couple of months big man. It’s there for you. Take it.

Lets put this win into perspective. It was a good win yes, against a poor Red Star side. We played well, yes, but we are far away from the high pressing, all-action team that we all loved last season. Good start back though – big test next!
