Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain made his return to Champions League action on Wednesday evening for the first time since he suffered a shocking knee injury against Roma in the semi-finals of the competition in the 2017/18 season (BBC).
On the midfielder’s return, he turned in an absolutely incredible performance. The ex-Arsenal man grabbed the headlines with two goals to put the Reds 2-0 up, striking either side of half-time in emphatic fashion before being hooked on 74 minutes during the Kopites’ 4-1 win (BBC)
Plenty of BIG performances tonight in Genk

As well as the obvious praise that the Reds have been throwing at Oxlade-Chamberlain, what a lot of supporters did mention was the connection that he and Keita had on the pitch together as Liverpool’s first #8 since Gerrard played his first 90 minutes for the club this season (Transfermarkt).
This match shows how much a fully fit ox and keita would bring to the team.
