talkSPORT host Jim White has said that Rangers might be set to do some last-minute business in the summer transfer window.

Talking on the Jim White Show (talkSPORT, Monday, 10.30am), the host was talking after the Old Firm game that Celtic won 2-0.

He said he was at the game and wondered whether Rangers would go back in for any new players after bumping into chairman Dave King following the game.

“I saw Rangers chairman Dave King walking down the stairs of the stadium on Sunday,” White said, “and he said, ‘I’m off to see the manager’ so you never know.”

Last-minute business for Rangers?

Rangers have had a busy summer already, with Andy King, Steven Davis, Jordan Jones, Jake Hastie, Greg Stewart, Sheyi Ojo, George Edmundson, Joe Aribo, Filip Helander and Brandon Barker arriving at Ibrox.

According to the Mirror, Rangers tried a late approach for Man City attacker Phil Foden but were knocked back.

However, according to TEAMtalk, they remain hopeful of a late move for Liverpool winger Ryan Kent, who spent last season on loan at Ibrox. That would likely be on an initial loan with Rangers making the move permanent at a later date.

That could be scuppered if another club comes in with the money for a permanent deal, with Neil Jones from Goal saying that Club Brugge are keen on Kent.

However, Rangers fans will be hoping that there isn’t any significant movement in the other direction.

Sky Sports reported that the “prime concern” at Ibrox will be holding onto James Tavernier and Alfredo Morelos, with speculation over both of them leaving over the summer.
