Christian Eriksen has appeared to divide opinion on Twitter after the Tottenham midfielder featured in Denmark’s 0-0 draw against Georgia in Tbilisi on Sunday.
It was a drab display by the Danes in a Euro 2020 qualifier that they should have really won with players like Kasper Dolberg, Yussuf Poulsen and Spurs ace Eriksen in the attacking positions.
However none of them could find a breakthrough against Georgia and now Denmark are in a tough situation in their qualifying group with Ireland two points ahead of them at the top of the standings and Switzerland breathing down their necks for the final qualification spot.
Eriksen’s display frustrated some football fans on Twitter and here is a round-up of some of the best tweets:
Denmark are to narrow , very slow tempo to their game. Christian Eriksen has been poor so far not popping the ball off quick enough to start the attacks. They must raise their level of intensity.

Even a Tottenham and an Arsenal fan seem to agree that Eriksen had a shocker against Denmark.
They might not normally come eye to eye with their football opinions but in this case, you can understand why they have taken to Twitter to slam the Dane for his performance on Sunday.
Eriksen should be doing so much better against Georgia than he did.
Denmark obviously don’t have as many talented players at Tottenham but the drop in quality should not have had this much of an impact on him.

Eriksen dropping a 0/10 against Georgia. You love to see it.

Not everyone was critical of the Tottenham playmaker for his performance in Georgia.
Eriksen is one of the most technically gifted midfielders in European football and even on a bad night he is going to show flashes of why Spurs fans are so desperate to see him sign a new contract and rule out the possibility of leaving North London on a free transfer next year.
