It looks like Tottenham fans are going to have to wait a while longer to see new summer signing Ryan Sessegnon in action.

Journalist Jonathan Veal reported that in addition to Juan Foyth and Giovani Lo Celso, Sessegnon has been ruled out of the Champions League clash.

He tweeted, “Sessegnon is having trouble with his previous hamstring injury”.

Sessegnon was pictured in full training last week ahead of the match against Crystal Palace and was set for a late fitness test, with Spurs fans hoping he would get to make his debut on Saturday.

He didn’t make the squad and it now looks like his injury troubles are set to continue.

Veal didn’t say how long Sessegnon would be out for after his latest setback.

Evening Standard journalist Dan Kilpatrick tweeted later on to say that neither Danny Rose nor Serge Aurier had travelled to Greece either.

Tottenham out of luck with injuries

Tottenham have had a terrible run with injuries recently.

Harry Kane missed last season’s Premier League run-in and while he returned for the Champions League final, he wasn’t 100% and put in a listless performance, with Spurs losing to Liverpool.

Summer signing Giovani Lo Celso had only made cameo appearances for Spurs before getting injured in a game for Argentina against Chile during the international break.

He’s been ruled out until the end of October.

Tanguy Ndombele missed two games, against Newcastle and Arsenal, with a hamstring problem but returned to come on as a substitute against Crystal Palace.

Sessegnon also signed over the summer and hasn’t made an appearance for his new club yet.

It does sound like Kyle Walker-Peters could be back in contention after missing the last two games through injury. Davinson Sanchez replaced him at right-back in the north London derby, with Serge Aurier returning to the team for the 4-0 win over Palace.
