Many Tottenham fans have taken to social media to hail Tanguy Ndombele for his first half performance against Southampton on Saturday afternoon.
The French midfielder put in a good shift in the early exchanges of the clash with the Saints, making some driving runs, as picked out by reliable journalist Alasdair Gold on Twitter, and displaying a very impressive range of passing.
He then opened the scoring for Mauricio Pochettino’s men in the 24th minute.
And Spurs supporters, who have endured a miserable week after crashing out of the Carabao Cup to League Two Colchester United on Tuesday, were quick to hail the 22-year-old for his impact against their visitors.
Here are some of the best tweets from fans.

There has never really been any doubt about Ndombele’s potential, truth be told.
The midfielder may have cost Spurs a club record fee when he arrived over the summer, but fans didn’t seem too bothered about the hefty sum forked out for a player of his apparent quality, as reported by The Sun.
And you can understand why.
Last term for Lyon, his pass completion rate was 90.1%, his dribble success rate was 60.9%, and he won 60.1% of his defensive duels faced, as per Wyscout.
As a point of comparison, Moussa Sissoko, a similar kind of all action midfield dynamo, had a pass completion rate of 84.3%, a dribble success rate of 51.6%, and won 57.7% of his defensive battles last season, as per Whoscored.
Simply put, Ndombele looked to be an improvement in every department on what they had at that time.

And this season, he is really starting to get up to speed in England.
So far he has managed a pass completion rate of 87.4%, a dribble success rate of 75%, and he has won 55.1% of his defensive duels, as per Wyscout.
He may not be at his very best just yet, but on the proof of Saturday’s opening 45, he’s getting there.
