Tottenham left-back Danny Rose failed to impress some England supporters on Twitter for his display against Bulgaria at Wembley on Saturday.

Although the Three Lions marched to a comfortable 4-0 win in their latest Euro 2020 qualifier, with Harry Kane scoring a hat-trick, it would seem as though not every player on the pitch was able to wow the fans who watched.

Spurs’ Rose, 29, played for the entire 90 minutes at left-back and made some really good forrays down the flank but overall, it was a rather quiet display by the former Leeds player.

It remains to be seen whether or not Gareth Southgate will hand Rose another start on Tuesday night when England take on Kosovo at Wembley, especially when Ben Chilwell was an unused substitute against Bulgaria.

If these England fans had their way then there’s no doubting that the Leicester left-back would come in to replace Rose.

Here is a selection of tweets of what some fans on Twitter said about the Tottenham player’s display:

Something that Rose always seems to be criticised on is his ability to cross the ball and it would seem as though these next England fans were less than impressed with that part of the left-back’s game against Bulgaria.

According to stats by WhoScored, Rose still managed to complete 96 per cent of his passes on Saturday.

He also made three key passes and only Ross Barkley, who completed four, made more in the entire 90 minutes.

While not all of his crosses will be accurate, it is probably an area that these fans are being too harsh on Rose for.

What these next two England fans have said is very harsh.

Rose is one of the best left-backs in European football and definitely the best option for England at the moment with Chilwell being so inexperienced and Luke Shaw not being in the best of form at Manchester United.
