Chelsea got a major boost today as Tammy Abraham and N’Golo Kante were spotted in training on Monday morning.

Abraham has scored seven goals in his last three Premier League games, but was subbed off in the 77th minute in the 5-2 win against Wolves on Saturday.

Lampard said afterwards that he was suffering from cramp and added, “It was probably the excitement from his hat-trick and the energy he used up because he works so hard.”

Kante has missed the last three Premier League games with an ankle injury but will now be pushing for a first-team return.

Emerson and Antonio Rudiger were missing, though. Rudiger was taken off at half-time against Wolves with what Lampard said was a groin issue.

The training ground spot was posted by Goal journalist Nizaar Kinsella on Twitter on Monday morning.

Abraham on fire

Chelsea fans will be relieved to see Abraham back out training after a slight scare on Saturday.

It’s a big week for the club, who play Valencia in the Champions League tomorrow before facing Liverpool next weekend.

Abraham has been sensational for Chelsea in the past three weeks, scoring a hat-trick against Wolves and is currently joint-top-scorer with Sergio Aguero with seven goals.

Daily Mail journalist Matt Barlow has said that “Tammy Abraham 19/20 can be Harry Kane 14/15”.

Kane’s breakthrough season was in 14/15 when he scored 21 goals in 34 games. The England striker went on to score 25, 29 and 30 goals in the Premier League.

Abraham has hit the ground running after finding his scoring boots on loan for Aston Villa last season. He scored 25 goals in 37 games in the Championship and will now be targetting 15-20 goals for Chelsea.
