Eddie Nketiah has enjoyed a fast start to his loan move to Leeds and there are plenty of Arsenal fans keeping an eye on him and already looking forward to his return.

The young Arsenal striker scored his third goal in just four appearances in the second round of the EFL cup against Stoke on Tuesday night. He also hit the post with a wicked curling shot in the first half of the game.

Nketiah hasn’t started in the league yet but still found the net in a 13-minute cameo against Brentford. His three goals have come in 197 minutes of football, giving him a goal every 65 minutes of football.

It’s not surprising that Arsenal fans are delighted at his progress and plenty of them think the 20-year-old can make a big impact for Unai Emery’s side when he returns.

With the north London derby approaching this weekend, one Arsenal fan couldn’t help comparing Nketiah with Harry Kane, saying “Eddie Nketiah just scored his third goal of the season. Harry Kane has two. Make of that what you want.” We’re sure there will be some Arsenal fans screaming at him not to tempt fate!

The official Arsenal Twitter account posted Nketiah’s stats up last night and it led one fan to say that the player seems to be getting “stronger and stronger” and that he’ll be ready to be a first-team striker at the Emirates when he returns next summer.

No matter how talented he is, that could be a tough ask. Arsenal have one of the best three-pronged attacks in the Premier League at the moment with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Nicolas Pepe.

All Nketiah can do is score goals though and Leeds are going to be the big beneficiaries of his talent this season.

This Arsenal fan summed up the feelings of a lot of supporters when he said, “This guy is gonna smash it when he comes back home next season!”

In the meantime, Leeds fans are hoping that he can keep coming up with the goals that will fire them back into the Premier League.
