There are less than two weeks to go before the start of the new Premier League season, with Arsenal set to kick-off their new campaign against Newcastle a week on Sunday.
However, there are concerns over attacker Alexandre Lacazette after he came off injured in the friendly against Lille on Sunday, before being seen limping out of the stadium with a protective boot on.
That’s got plenty of Arsenal fans talking on Twitter.

Manager Unai Emery gave some reassurance to Arsenal fans after the game saying in the Guardian, “We are thinking the Lacazette injury is not serious… It’s in his ankle, it’s a sprain. He will be assessed over the next few days but it is not serious.”
That hasn’t stopped some Arsenal fans fearing the worst, though, with one saying that it “explains the Pepe transfer as well”.
That’s a fairly big leap with the Pepe move being reported well before the Lacazette injury.
Please God! This is not what we need now

Well I guess this means Eddie is gonna get his chance. It probably explains the Pepe transfer as well.

Other Arsenal fans were more pragmatic about the Lacazette situation. One told other Arsenal supporters to stop overreacting and added, “I twisted my ankle and had to limp, two days later I was running”.
Another Gunner agreed saying, “It’s impossible to walk properly in a walking boot, he’ll be fine”.
An Arsenal fan who identified as a medical doctor said the fact he was walking unassisted suggested it wasn’t a serious injury and more of a precaution.
His fellow supporters will be hoping that diagnosis is correct – Lacazette was on fire in the Premier League last season with 13 goals and 10 assists in 35 league games.
With big doubts over the Arsenal defence going into the new season, his goals could be crucial to a top-four finish.

The fact that he’s able to walk on his own, UNASSISTED, points to the fact that it’s not a serious injury. Probably a precaution.
