Leeds have announced another signing with Helder Costa joining on loan from Wolves.

He becomes the fourth senior signing of the summer after Jack Harrison and Ben White joined on loan on Monday, and Jack Clarke re-signed on loan after joining Spurs.

And there was more good news for Leeds fans as the club announced that Costa will become a permanent signing next summer on a four-year deal that will see him at Elland Road until 2024.

The news was announced on the official Leeds Twitter page and the club followed up with a great response to all the tweets from fans imploring them to #AnnounceCosta.

The announcement that he will become a permanent signing next summer was somewhat unexpected with earlier talk of an option being negotiated.

Leeds fans are understandably delighted with the news of the clause with one saying it was a “big statement” and another saying Costa is “what we’ve been waiting for”.

If the winger can rediscover the form he produced when he first came to England the club will have done a brilliant bit of business.

The winger scored 10 goals and added eight assists in the 16/17 season for Wolves that saw him win Player of the Year, Players Player of the Year and Goal of the Year awards.

However, he has lost his way since then, with one Wolves fan saying his “confidence was completely gone by January last season”.

We wouldn’t expect a deal for Costa to be cheap either. He was reportedly on £32,500-a-week for Wolves and they will likely be looking to recoup most of the £13.5million they spent bringing him in from Benfica.

This is what Leeds fans make of the deal:
