Everton are “very interested” in completing a deal for Juventus striker Moise Kean, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The outlet claims that Juve’s sporting director Fabio Paratici has travelled to England to discuss a potential deal, and that the player himself could be keen on a move after holding discussions with agent Mino Raiola.

And it’s fair to say that Everton fans a more than a little excited by the prospect of snapping up the Italian.

Here’s what the Toffees have been saying about a potential swoop:

Some pretty over the top reactions from fans, all things considered, but it just goes to show how exciting Kean is as a player.

Two goals in his first three senior international caps is some return, and all the signs are that the youngster is only going to get better and better from here on in.

His pass completion rate of 80.7%, plus his shots per game and successful dribble averages of 1.6 and 1.1 respectively last season [Whoscored] hint at a well-rounded and precociously accomplished striking talent.

Perhaps most interesting about fan reactions to the news on Kean is the mixture between disbelief and ecstasy.

Obviously, nothing is confirmed yet, and there will still be a long way to go before anything could possibly get tied up, but there seems to be a sizeable section of the Goodison faithful who can’t quite get their heads around being linked to such an impressive starlet.

The fact of the matter is, however, that if they are serious about breaking into the top six – and there was enough on display in the latter stages of last season to suggest that they should be – then this kind of acquisition must become the norm.

If they can bring in Kean, you would hope that Everton start to make a trend of such ambitious signings.
