West Ham have agreed terms to sign Villarreal midfielder Pablo Fornals and expect to announce his arrival today (Friday), according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper claims that Fornals, 23, is set to become Manuel Pellegrini’s third signing of the summer transfer window, joining goalkeepers Roberto and David Martin in joining the Hammers.

It is understood that Fornals will pen a five-year contract with West Ham and will arrive in a deal worth £24million.

Good move for West Ham?

Fornals certainly looks like a player who could offer a lot to West Ham’s attack.

Although Villarreal did not have an amazing season last time out, the former Malaga attacking midfielder still stood out for them as he scored five goals and supplied six assists in 50 appearances across all competitions.

Pellegrini has clearly targetted his midfield as an area he wants to improve this summer and due to Fornals’ ability to play on the wings, as a central midfielder and as an attacking midfielder, he should turn out to be a very solid, versatile addition for the Irons.

Likely to happen?

It would be a shock if this didn’t happen.

There are a lot of different sources saying that this deal is close to being complete and as West Ham are now getting ready to announce Fornals’ arrival, fans can expect this one to be done by the time they start their weekend.
