While Aston Villa look like they are willing to splash the cash this summer after agreeing a deal for Wesley Moraes, the best deals might come from those who do not break the bank.

Wesley’s capture is a big deal for the Villans and one which will understandably have fans dreaming of more significant deals but there is value to be found out there – all they have to do is look in the right places.

The midlands outfit have been linked with Andres Martin, the 19-year-old Cordoba winger, and ABC Cordoba claim on their website that the Premier League outfit are not alone, with Sevilla said to have tabled a £1.3million bid, while Borussia Dortmund are also said to be keen.

The Sevilla bid is some way below the teenager’s £4.4million release clause and at that sort of price the Villans have got to be looking at triggering that bargain price for someone who could bring them plenty of success in the not too distant future.

You need only look at the names interested in his capture – Sevilla and Dortmund two big sides in their respective leagues – to see how highly rated he is and if that is not enough, his seven goals and four assists in just 19 starts should give you an idea of what he is capable of.

A price of less than £5million is a bargain in today’s market and a bang average season in the Premier League could see them pick up at least a couple more million for his exit in a year’s time.

Impress for the Villans and the money they could get could be double, if not triple and beyond, what they need to splash out this summer.

It appears as though their rivals for his capture are looking to lowball a deal – time for Villa to blow them out the water and strike gold.
