Rangers fans should be getting very excited after the latest report on the future of winger Ryan Kent.

The Scottish Daily Mail, via a Daily Record live transfer blog [Monday, 7:37am] has claimed that the 22-year-old winger is close to agreeing a move which would see him return to Ibrox for a secon spell with the club.

Kent has recently returned to Liverpool’s Under-23s setup, following a temporary spell at Ibrox that saw him impress by scoring six goals and registering nine assists in all competitions.

Previous reports [Football Insider] had suggested that Leeds United were interested in bringing Kent to West Yorkshire, but the Scottish Daily Mail now claims that Rangers are close to securing another loan deal for the attacker.

This is surely fantastic news for Rangers fans. Kent was one of the stars in the Rangers team having been brought north of the border by Gerrard, who obviously saw the talent the player possessed from working with him at Liverpool.

The former Reds skipper was proved right because Kent put in some great performances for the Gers.

He looks like he settled really well with his teammates at Ibrox so it is no wonder that the winger reportedly wants to move there again, and it would be very interesting to see how he would get on in a second spell with the Gers.

It is very unlikely that Liverpool will want him back in their team – what with the attacking talent they already possess – and so there is a real chance that Kent could move back to Rangers if he wants to. Rangers fans will be hoping this report is true.
