OPINION
Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to rightly heap praise on goalkeeper Michel Vorm, after the club confirmed on their official website that the keeper will be released at the end of his contract this summer. Vorm has been, as some Tottenham supporters point out, a very good servant to the club since the keeper joined the club from Swansea City in the summer of 2014. The 35-year-old has largely been used as a number two to Tottenham’s first choice goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and he has provided strong back up for the last few seasons. The Netherlands international has always been a reliable performer when called upon, making 47 appearances for the club, and made some vital contributions in games he was picked to start. Vorm has taken to his role as the club’s number two very professionally and that should be commended, Mauricio Pochettino’s side will surely miss the goalkeeper’s presence next season and will be needing to find a replacement capable of offering similar qualities displayed by Vorm during his time with the club.

Fair play to Vorm, he’s been there as a back up for years without complaining and gave 100% whenever called upon! Was always too good to just sit on a bench in my opinion tbh, good luck my man #Yiddo
