Spurs and Daniel Levy seem ready to spring into action this transfer window after failing to make a signing in the previous two years. It was reported on Wednesday by the Guardian that the club have opened talks with Lyon midfielder , but the clubs were far apart in their valuations of the 22-year-old. Later on the same day, The Sun reported that Spurs have made a club-record £60million bid for Ndombele in a bid to beat Premier League rivals Manchester United and City to the transfer. This would send out a great signal of intent from Spurs and their fans seemed desperate for a deal to be completed when reacting on Twitter. Many Lilywhite fans were skeptical over the reports claiming they had launched a bid but urged Daniel Levy to open his chequebook to complete a deal quickly. One fan said: “Pay the money, he’s worth every penny!”. Another fan demanded the Spurs chairman Levy seal the deal: “Don’t mess this up, Levy”.
