West Ham have surely been given a boost when it comes to their pursuit of Fulham attacker Aleksandar Mitrovic as Scott Parker’s side will give Aboubakar Kamara a second chance to impress.

The Evening Standard previously reported that the Hammers are considering a summer move for the powerful forward after he scored 11 Premier League games in his 2018/19 campaign.

And it seems their chances of getting him have improved if they end up acting in their pursuit of Mitrovic.

The Sun reported on Saturday that Parker will give Kamara a second chance to impress at Craven Cottage next season once he returns to the club in pre-season after his loan spell at Turkish club Yeni Malatyaspor.

The newspaper claim that Kamara is set for clear-the-air talks with Parker but is expected to stick around as he is considered a vital part of Fulham’s plans to instantly win promotion back to the Premier League next season.

Given that Kamara was arrested on suspicion of Actual Bodily Harm in a bust-up at the training ground, as stated by The Sun, and got into a row with Mitrovic during a yoga class, as covered by The Sun, this is quite the turn up for the books.

However while it may be disappointing news for Fulham fans, as why would they want a troublesome player to be given another chance, it surely spell good news for West Ham.

If Kamara is set to stick around, then Fulham will surely be willing to part with Mitrovic if a decent offer comes in.

Kamara can take up the Serbian powerhouse’s place in the first-team and it means that the Cottagers aren’t scrambling to get a replacement through the door for the forward.

Also surely Mitrovic will be more inclined to leave if Kamara is back in the fold.

While the two may have made up, given that they managed to fall out during a yoga session, they clearly don’t see eye-to-eye or enjoy each other’s company; so surely Mitrovic would be willing to leave rather than put up with Kamara’s drama.

This will play into the Hammers’ hands and help them lure him to the London Stadium, as the attacker is no doubt settled in the city and would rather be playing in England’s top-flight anyway.
