Many Aston Villa fans were thrilled over a transfer report that claimed their club had bid for Brentford attacker Said Benrahma. Le 10 Sport reported on Saturday that the Villans had bid £8.76million for the 23-year-old winger. The French outlet claimed that a number of clubs were keen on Benrahma and that the battle for his signature had only just begun despite the Villans putting an offer on the table. When you consider that the 23-year-old scored 11 goals and registered 17 assists in his 2018/19 campaign, you would think he’d cost the Villans more than £8.76million. However while their offer seems doomed to fail, it didn’t stop many Villa supporters being happy on social media. One fan claimed Benrahma would be an amazing signing, while another supporter wants Dean Smith to ensure he signs the winger as they believe the player is something special.
