Tottenham are to table a mega transfer and contact offer for Tanguy Ndombele to get him on board from Olympique Lyonnais this summer, according to Football Insider.
The reputable football news outlet claim that the Lilywhites are willing to smash their transfer record, their current highest spend the capture of Davinson Sanchez, as well as put the 22-year-old midfielder on a wage in the region of what Harry Kane is earning, with a £200,000-a-week deal on the cards.
It is stated that Tottenham have already seen one bid turned down by Lyon but that they are set to table a second offer around £50million to prise him away from France, with the midfielder Mauricio Pochettino’s top target this summer.

Tottenham are not lying down this summer and it appears as though Daniel Levy is willing to act as a genie to Mauricio Pochettino and do everything he can to make the Argentine’s wishes come true. To be willing to put Ndombele on a contract in the same ballpark as Harry Kane, who has performed at the very highest level in north London for years, is not only a great big gamble but a precedent which could see those already at Spurs wondering why they are not being rewarded in a similar fashion – after all, it was them who helped the club reach the Champions League final. This is Tottenham putting all their eggs in one basket and while he might be a very talented footballer, they will be left with egg on their face should it not work out as they hope. On paper he looks perfect to fill the void left in the midfield by Mousa Dembele’s exit earlier this year but as is so often the case in football, what looks good in theory might not work out on the pitch.
