Ben Davies has claimed that Mauricio Pochettino is the man to take Tottenham to the “next level”.
Spurs finished fourth in the Premier League and reached the final of the Champions League, only to be beaten by Liverpool on Saturday night.
But Davies believes that the Argentine has still got more to give.
Speaking to the Evening Standard, he said: “He’s been amazing for us.
“He’s put the building blocks in place to put us where we’ve been in the Champions League. The way we’ve played, and the attitude and belief we’ve got in the squad is all down to him.
“As a group of players, we really hope he stays because he’s the one to take us to the next level.”

Keeping Pochettino must be Daniel Levy’s priority from here on out. The Argentine has done a remarkable job at Tottenham during his tenure at the club, and he is fully deserving of all the plaudits that are being lavished on him at the moment. Obviously, he has done things the hard way, spending relatively little and quite infrequently. Now, however, it is time to back him. Spurs face a choice this summer. They can either rest on their laurels and accept their status as the best of the rest, or they can double down and push on to really challenge the top two. With the new stadium and one of the best managers in world football at their disposal, the decision should be an easy one. You just hope that Levy makes it, or he could risk losing a truly incredible boss. The big teams are circling, and they will get their man eventually, unless Spurs can reach their level.
