Many Manchester United fans want their club to sign Ruben Dias from Benfica after watching him play for Portugal on Sunday. The 22-year-old centre-back helped his nation beat the Netherlands in the Nation League Final 1-0 on Sunday, and it seems many Man United fans liked what they saw. One Man United fan even went as far as to say that Dias was the best possible bit of business that their club could get done this summer. The Daily Star previously reported that Man United were aware of Dias’ talents, and saw him as good value due to it being believed that Benfica would be willing to sell him for£60million. There’s no denying that Man United need to strengthen at the back, especially centrally with Phil Jones and Chris Smalling still being considered options, and Dias wouldn’t be the worst option to take. The 22-year-old featured 55 times for Benfica last season, even getting four goals, and given his age; he could be a solution to the club’s defensive woes for many seasons to come.
