This could be a brilliant appointment for the Toffees, as Boa Morte will bring some much needed Premier League experience back into the dressing room, and will be able to advise Silva on what to do with regards to playing in the top flight. Silva’s job will be made a whole lot easier with this latest appointment, and Boa Morte will also be able to help give suggestions on potential incoming transfers and squad decisions, and give a contrasting outlook as a player who has been in the position that the Everton players are currently in. The former Hammers’ man will be making the move from his previous assistant manager role with Maccabi Haifa, who play their football in the Israeli first tier, so the mover to Everton is quite the step up in this sense. Boa Morte will no doubt be up for the challenge however, and will welcome a return to the league where he registered the most appearances throughout his career with open arms.
