Many Everton fans went wild on social media after the club’s official account appeared to take a dig at Liverpool. The Toffees’ official Twitter account tweeted that the club didn’t “mind the cold or the wind” after Sky Sports’ social media account highlighted that Marco Silva’s side had a tough run of games in December. The Toffees have to face Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United in the final month of 2019 and on paper that seems like a tough task. However the club’s official Twitter account was happy to joke about it, and take a cheap jab at the club’s local rivals Liverpool in doing so. By saying the club had no issues with the wind, it was clearly a reference to how Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp blamed his side only drawing with the Toffees in March on the wind in an interview with Sky Sports. Several Toffees fans appreciated the dig with many claiming they loved it on Twitter, while one sarcastically asked who the dig was at.
