Chelsea have agreed a fee with Real Madrid for the transfer of winger Eden Hazard, according to The Telegraph

The newspaper report that the Belgian will complete his move to Real Madrid in a deal worth up to £130million, after the London club have given the green light for him to leave.

The outlet also claim that negotiations have been ongoing all week, however a breakthrough has now been made after a fee has been agreed between the two European giants.

The Telegraph understand that Chelsea are confident that they will receive the full £130million for the 100-cap Belgium international, once all of the relevant bonuses have been met.

Good move for Chelsea?

This is a hard one to call really, considering how good Hazard has been for Chelsea over the years.

The winger has scored 110 goals for the London club since his arrival in 2012, and has arguably been Chelsea’s best player every single season since he made the switch to Stamford Bridge.

Although £130million could be considered as a huge sum to pay for a 28-year old winger, it seems like it’s a fair price when you look at how good Hazard has truly been over the last few seasons.

They will struggle to find a player who will replace Hazard next season if the move comes to fruition, that’s for sure.

Likely to happen?

Very likely to happen, it seems.

Hazard has been on Real Madrid’s radar for a long time now, and this move had been looking likely to happen for a few seasons now.

Now that a fee has reportedly been agreed, it seems that there is nothing stopping the Belgian from making the switch to the Bernabeu, which most probably will not go down too well with the Chelsea faithful.

Hazard also was the first to say that he could be on the way out of London after the club’s Europa League victory, so it seems likely that this deal is all but done.
