OPINION
This is all getting a bit ridiculous now, isn’t it? As talks of a prospective Newcastle United takeover look set to rumble on into another week, and with absolutely no information from the club themselves, supporters have been left scratching their heads and voicing their concerns over what exactly is happening at St. James’ Park. Clues are at such a premium that some fans have even taken to their own amateur sleuthing and conspiracy theories. First, we had the picture of a skip full of Sports Direct marketing boards, as reported by The Sun, that sent Twitter into meltdown, and now, even more absurdly, we have an email from the company. Little more than a circular advertising trainers, usually destined for spam folders everywhere, the choice of wording from whoever sent it has got fans surmising once again. The ad urges readers to “keep it monochrome”. Is it a wise piece of fashion advice bearing in mind that black and white will never go out of style, or is it something more sinister? A nod, perhaps, to the Monochrome Acquisitions LTD registered with Companies House by Sheikh Khaled to help facilitate a buyout, as reported by the Chronicle? At this stage, who knows?

How exactly do you tie BZG's company to the word Monochrome being used in SD advertising? Believe it or not, it's not a rare word.
