OPINION
Many Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to react to a Twitter tease from 2018/19 loan star Tyrone Mings. The 26-year-old had a brilliant season for Dean Smith’s side after joining in a season-long loan spell from Bournemouth. The defender made 25 appearances overall, playing 15 Championship games and even chipping in with two goals as the club secured a return to the Premier League with a 2-1 victory over Derby County at Wembley. And that game is the source of Mings’s Twitter tease. The centre-back responded with the words ‘Never gets old’ to a fan who posted a picture of themselves re-watching the Wembley encounter. And that has sent some Villa fans into meltdown. They are right to react in this way: Mings was excellent for the club last term and those calling on him to sign a permanent contract are bang on. He would continue to be a great player for Smith’s side next season given how well he settled in his temporary stay with the Midlands club.
Never gets old ???????????
