Manchester United have reached an agreement with Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka to sign him on a five-year deal, according to Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schria.

The Italian reporter claimed via his personal Twitter account on Sunday that the defender was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s number one right-back target and while a deal has been agreed with the player, United are yet to finalise a fee with Crystal Palace and talks remain in progress in that area.

Wan-Bisska, 21, was a star player for Roy Hodgson’s Palace side last season, appearing in 35 Premier League games and chipping in with three assists.

Good move for United?

Definitely. It is clear that Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen on signing young talent that can freshen up and breathe life back into a United squad that has stagnated over the last couple of seasons. The Norwegian boss has shown that already by signing Daniel James from Swansea City, and this would be another great move if the Old Trafford club are to complete it. Wan-Bissaka is young and is a growing talent. He was exceptional for Palace last term and was a key part of Hodgson’s team, and he would fit in perfectly to Solskjaer’s side next season.

Likely to happen?

If this report is true, then it is surely only a matter of time before this deal is announced. It looks as if a deal has been agreed and talks over a contract have gone well too, so now there are said to be some final talks before the deal gets over the line. Watch this space with this move, it might not be long before we see it officially completed.
