Leeds United are ready to pay Liverpool £35million in a bid to sign Ryan Kent and Harry Wilson, according to the Sun.

The newspaper claimed via their live transfer blog on Monday evening that Leeds “will splash the cash” on the two Anfield attackers in a bid to get themselves back into the Premier League next season.

Kent, 22, spent last season on loan with Steven Gerrard’s Rangers in the Scottish Premiership while Wilson, also 22, helped Derby reach the play-off final while on a temporary spell at Pride Park.

Good move for Leeds?

Marcelo Bielsa clearly wants to sign wingers this summer and these two Liverpool attackers would definitely be two great additions at Elland Road based on how well they played out on loan last season.

Kent scored six goals and supplied nine assists in 43 appearances across all competitions for Rangers and was nominated to win the Premiership Player of the Year and the Young Player of the Year awards after a superb campaign.

Wales international Wilson was more prolific than Kent, scoring 18 goals and creating six assists in 49 total outings for Derby.

Just one of them would be a top signing by Bielsa, but both of them on permanent deals? That’s too good to be true.

Likely to happen?

Why do the Sun think that Leeds have £35million to spend?

Andrea Radrizzani has already admitted it’s going to be a tough summer for Leeds and even if the Whites sell a few players this summer like Jack Clarke and Kalvin Phillips, they’d still not have enough to cover the costs of signing Kent and Wilson on permanent deals.

Wilson is good enough for the Premier League and the Whites should just settle for Kent.
