COMMENTARY

It would be fair to say that Leeds United goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell has been getting plenty of attention for all the wrong reasons of late. The shot stopper publicly revealed that he was considering leaving the club if he was not getting game time under Marcelo Bielsa, having seen himself fall down the pecking order thanks to Kiko Casilla’s arrival. He went on to mention how the international games, Peacock-Farrell included in Northern Ireland’s squad for their European qualifiers, acted as a shop window for a potential future move – but his performance against Estonia left plenty to be desired. Many Leeds fans were left tearing the keeper to pieces for his efforts on Saturday evening, finding himself beaten by a long ranger free kick 25 minutes into the game. Some criticised his inability to build and position his wall properly, while others blasted his efforts to get down to save the shot. Thankfully for him his side turned the game around to win 2-1 but after his comments, this was not the sort of performance he would have wanted.

This is Futbol has gathered a selection of the Leeds fans’ fuming tweets:
