Leeds United are closing in on two new signings in the next fortnight, according to Football Insider.

The football outlet claim that Marcelo Bielsa is understood to want at least a couple of new faces at the club before the end of the month as he prepares for another promotion push at Elland Road.

Football Insider report that the Argentine wants the club’s summer business completed quickly in order to give him as much time as possible to work with them in pre-season.

It was revealed by Football Insider on Thursday that Leeds were planning a loan move for Wolves winger, Helder Costa, with the Portuguese winger high on their shortlist for the new season.

OPINION

This will be news to ears of all Leeds fans out there. If you take the last transfer window out of the occasion, the Whites’ business in other windows has been nothing short of embarrassing, with no real intent behind their signatures. The results have shown on the pitch too, after the signature of Marcelo Bielsa and a couple of marquee players in Barry Douglas and Patrick Bamford, Leeds were on the verge of promotion last season before throwing it all away. If Andrea Radrizzani wants promotion as much as everyone else does involved with Leeds, then he must start the season in the right manner, and that starts in the transfer window. Helder Costa would be the perfect start for the Whites who will face stiff competition for the Wolves man, who would become an instant hit with the Elland Road faithful should he carry on his fine form from his parent club. A defender and a central midfielder would be great for Leeds and should they be delivered, the promotion dream could start once again.
