Everton have made initial contact with Juventus over a potential move for forward Moise Kean, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

Kean scored seven goals and provided one assist in 17 appearances for the Old Lady last season, after rejoining the Juve first team following a loan spell at Hellas Verona in the 2017/18 campaign.

Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Everton are keen on bringing the 19-year-old to Goodison Park, and that initial discussions have taken place between the Blues and the Italian champions.

Good move for Everton?

Definitely. Kean is only 19 and showed excellent promise for Juventus last season after finally being given a chance in the first team. TheĀ  Italy international has netted two goals in three games so far for his country, which again shows his excellent ability. If Kean was to come to Everton, it would be interesting to see where he would fit in. A player of his calibre and potential could certainly expect first-team action, and he would be excellent backup for Richarlison. A player of his calibre and potential, though, will likely want regular first-team games.

Likely to happen?

Who knows. If this report is true, it looks at this stage as if this is only the first time that Everton have made contact with Juventus over Kean. The Toffees may just be wondering what the possibility of a move is, and their interest may not even be concrete at this stage. It is currently too early on to say whether anything will happen, but the key indicator of whether Everton are actually interested will be fresh reports in the coming days of this move.
