After weeks of trying to secure the signature of Motherwell midfielder David Turnbull, it was revealed on Wednesday evening that Celtic have agreed a fee for the 19-year-old. The Sun journalist Alan Nixon stated on his personal Twitter account that the Hoops have agreed a £2.75million fee for Turnbull who will now enter talks with the club. The young attacking midfielder enjoyed a great breakthrough season at Fir Park, scoring 16 goals and assisting a further seven in his 34 games. With Olivier Ntcham expected to leave the club after Football Insider reported the Frenchman has revealed his urge to return home, Turnbull will be expected to fill that void. Many Celtic fans reacted with great joy over the announcement on Twitter, with many expecting the Scotland youth international to make a big impact once he arrives at the club. One fan was ecstatic at the news saying: “Very happy with that. Good young player with bags of potential. Looking forward to seeing him in action.”
