Fulham attacker Ryan Sessegnon wants to leave the club this summer and move to Tottenham, according to The Guardian.

The outlet report that Sessegnon has informed Fulham that he will not be signing a new deal with the club, with the 19-year-old’s current deal having just one-year remaining.

The promising winger has believed to have expressed his desire to move to Tottenham during the summer transfer window, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side thought to have been tracking the attacker for the last few years, and he believes the Argentine could be an ideal coach for him to develop under.

Fulham are thought to be wanting to a fee of around £45million for Sessegnon, with Tottenham believed to be not inclined to pay more than £25million for the attacker given he is out of contract next year.

Good signing for Tottenham?

Sessegnon is a very talented winger with a lot of potential to develop into an excellent Premier League player, with the 19-year-old already making over 100 appearances for Fulham including 35 last term in the English top flight.

The winger is exactly the sort of player that Pochettino likes to work with and the Argentine has a proven track record for helping promising young players reach their potential.

Tottenham could benefit with improving their attacking depth this summer, after missing the likes of Son Heung-Min and Harry Kane for spells last term, and by recruiting Sessegnon they would have a player who would be able to develop into a potential key first team player for the next few years.

Likely to happen?

Following Fulham’s relegation to the Championship Sessegnon is unlikely to be wanting to spend another season in the English second tier, and will be hoping to continue his development in the Premier League.

The 19-year-old’s reported reluctance to sign a new deal with Fulham suggests Tottenham could take advantage and convince the club sell the winger this summer, rather than risk losing him on a free transfer next year.

However, with Fulham believed to be wanting £45million, Daniel Levy is unlikely to be wanting to pay that much and that could potentially harm any potential deal for the winger.
