Wolves are interested in Liverpool winger Harry Wilson but the Reds have slapped a £25 million price tag on the 22-year-old, according to Football Insider.

The Wales international has scored 18 goals in all competitions for Derby County this term, who could win promotion to the Premier League next Monday if they defeat Aston Villa in the play-off final.

Wilson’s performances have caught the eye of Nuno Espirito Santo and amid the interest expressed in the winger, Liverpool have placed a £25 million price tag on him.

The Welshman is a product of the Liverpool academy and his glittering performances have made him one of the brightest young talents in British football.

Good move for Wolves?

This would be a terrific signing for Wolves. Wilson has proved that he can consistently perform at a high level and at just 22-years-old he is brilliant and unlucky not to get a chance at Anfield. 15 goals in the Championship for a winger is impressive and he could improve Wolves’ wing play. His set-pieces are top drawer and stopping his free-kicks is a very difficult task – his effort at Old Trafford was sensational. £25 million is a reasonable fee – Wilson is a young British talent brimming with potential and his value could increase even more in the future.

Likely to happen?

It’s still very early days in terms of the transfer window. Wilson still has a play-off final to play so nothing is likely to happen any time soon but it’s doubtful that he will feature much for Liverpool next term. Wolves will not be the only ones expressing an interest in the winger and we expect any potential deal for Wilson to happen at a much later stage. Derby would surely want to keep hold of him if they are promoted.
