OPINION
Jack Wilshere more than impressed a section of West Ham fans on Twitter with his performance in the 3-0 win against Southampton on Saturday. The former Arsenal midfielder, 27, came off the bench in the second-half and managed to assist Ryan Fredericks’ goal. It is a shame that Wilshere has hardly played in his debut season at the London Stadium after spending most of the campaign on the sidelines with an injury. He looked sharp when he came off the bench this weekend though and Manuel Pellegrini should let him start against Watford next week to round off the season on a high for the playmaker. It is not a shock to see the West Ham fans on Twitter heaping praise on Wilshere for his display. He can be a real fan favourite in East London if he can get the game-time and the brief glimpse the supporters got on Saturday proves that can still be the case.
