West Brom’s official Twitter account has trolled Liverpool after Jurgen Klopp’s men won 4-0 against Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Liverpool have booked their spot in the Champions League final after reversing their 3-0 defeat in the first leg at the Nou Camp and understandably that sparked wild scenes at Anfield after the final whistle.

Albion’s Twitter account was quick to point out that those celebrations mimicked the over-the-top reaction by Klopp and his players after Liverpool managed to draw 2-2 with West Brom 2015.

OPNION

Brilliant. Liverpool’s celebrations on that day were a bit over the top but you cannot blame them for how they celebrated a truly historic win against Barcelona on Wednesday, which was perhaps one of the greatest ever victories that Anfield has witnessed. West Brom’s tweet is bound to get a few Liverpool fans moaning in the replies but at the end of the day, it’s a great bit of humour and supporters shouldn’t be offended by a light-heart joke that is followed up by a message of congratulations. Klopp has always been a bit of a pantomime villain among West Brom fans. For whatever reason, the German just really doesn’t like the Baggies. Whether he is moaning about their style of play or the pitch at The Hawthorns being too dry, he always has something to say. Klopp has won just two of seven matches against West Brom while he has been in charge of Liverpool. Maybe the Baggies’ relegation to the Championship is the only reason why they can still win the Premier League title this season.
