OPINION
Craig Dawson has been West Brom’s most disappointing player of the season. He was superb at the end of last season when Darren Moore moved him to centre-back but has not been able to replicate that form in the Championship. On Sunday, Dawson was at fault when Martyn Waghorn headed Derby into the lead at Pride Park. Dawson was marking the Rams forward but completely lost his man and allowed him to head the ball past Sam Johnstone. Understandably a lot of West Brom fans on Twitter have torn the former Rochdale defender to shreds. Dawson needs to be doing a lot better than this. He’s hardly played better than Kyle Bartley this term, which is saying something, and Ahmed Hegazi has been way more crucial to the defence. West Brom should really think about cashing in on Dawson in the summer, but will anyone in the Premier League even want him after such an inept season in the second-tier?
